Not even 24 hours after making international headlines for falsely accusing a Black man of ‘threatening her life,’ Amy Cooper – the Vice President of Investment Solutions at Franklin Templeton – finds herself unemployed.

Amy was filmed calling the police to falsely accuse a Black man (later identified as former Marvel editor/Harvard graduate Christian Cooper) of threatening her life because he requested she obey the park’s mandate for pets to be leashed.
Once her videoed antics were uploaded to Twitter by Christian’s sister, they quickly went viral and led many to call for her termination at her place of employment. Late Monday night (May 25), the investment giants did indicate she had been placed on administrative leave pending investigation (as we reported here).
Now, she’s been fired.
Taking to Twitter Tuesday (May 26), Franklin Templeton announced:
The statement above comes just hours after Amy took to press to apologize for the incident.
“I sincerely and humbly apologize to everyone, especially to that man, his family,” Amy Cooper told NBC NEW YORK via phone. “It was unacceptable and I humbly and fully apologize to everyone who’s seen that video, everyone that’s been offended…everyone who thinks of me in a lower light and I understand why they do.”
“When I think about the police, I’m such a blessed person. I’ve come to realize especially today that I think of [the police] as a protection agency, and unfortunately, this has caused me to realize that there are so many people in this country that don’t have that luxury,” she added.

Unfortunately i’ve watched but this Karen was caught by her own stupidity. The man she attacked never in any way threatened her, he is polite and calm (I read on TT he is an Harvard Graduate and famed botanist) she’s the one who is unhinged and the way she plays herself as the victim is disgusting.
