The infamous insurrection on January 6 began when supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the United States capitol a mere two weeks before then President Elect Joe Biden was sworn into office. Biden called on Trump to then “step up” to call his followers to action after they claimed the election was “stolen.”

The nation – as well as many celebrities – were quick to react to the news. Cardi B, P!nk, Kevin Hart, and more took to social media to express their thoughts on the occasion.

After the insurrection, Trump was banned from various social media platforms, with them claiming he violated their specific rules in regards to the social media messages and the insurrection.
