In breaking news, three former Minneapolis police officers have been found guilty of violating the civil rights of George Floyd.
As reported, the unarmed Black man died after his neck was knelt on by officer Derek Chauvin – who was convicted of murdering him.
Now, his co-workers and accomplices have been handed their fate.

Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng, and Thomas Lane were all convicted moments ago.
The charge relates to the trio showing deliberate indifference to Floyd’s medical needs as Chauvin knelt on him for more than 9 minutes on May 25, 2020. A deed that caused his death.
Jurors also found Thao and Kueng guilty of an additional charge for failing to intervene to stop Chauvin.
Lane, who did not face the extra charge, claimed that he twice asked Chauvin to reposition Floyd while restraining him. However, those requests were denied on each occasion.
Per the Department of Justice, violating a person’s civil rights “is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term, or the death penalty, depending upon the circumstances of the crime, and the resulting injury, if any.”
And while serious repercussions are expected, federal sentencing guidelines indicate the officers could receive a lesser sentence than what’s outlined.
Chauvin is currently serving a 22-year sentence for killing Floyd.
Time will tell what punishment his accomplices will be dealt.
