The political polarizer took the oath to commence his second term as US president.
He declared “the golden age of America begins now.”
Trump promised to sign “a series of historical orders” and signal a “revolution of common sense.”
The 78-year-old added:
“We will be the envy of every nation and we will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer.”
Trump praised his performance at the 2024 election and also promised to target “illegal aliens”; he also vowed to declare a state of emergency at the border.
