The Queen’s take on a King?  Indeed, as reported here, Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige has joined film diva Angela Bassett for ‘Betty & Coretta’ – a Lifetime Network film chronicling the lives of famed civil rights leaders Betty Shabazz and Coretta Scott King.

The wives of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King (respectively), the movie specifically tells the tales of their lives post the death of their husbands.  And, while Bassett has already won acclaim for her 1992 portrayal of Shabazz, now Blige is ready to fill those big shoes for what may be her most challenging acting role yet.
