The ‘Bad Boys’ are back!

Eleven years after the second instalment of the franchise hit theaters, star Martin Lawrence has confirmed that a third film is currently in the works.

Details below…

During a promo stop on the Conan show yesterday (to promote new show ‘Partners’), the funny-man revealed that Jerry Bruckheimer – who produced the film’s 1995 original and 2003 follow-up – is hard at work on ‘Bad Boys 3’.

The news is being welcomed with open arms by the film’s legion of loyal fans, who’ve been pining for another instalment starring Lawrence and Will Smith – who play  detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowry respectively.

And while a coup for the franchise’s fans, the film – at least on paper – looks set to net Laurence and Smith a hefty payday. For, the first amassed $141,407,024 at the box office, and its sequel almost doubled that figure generating $273,339,556. Needless to say, it’s no surprise that a third movie has ample allure.

Yo Martin finally looks healthy! He slimmed up and ready to fight. I just hope BB3 is not as long as BB2…ya’ll know there were just one too many fight/gun/explosion scenes. Even tho it was a good movie.

KMT! Is there no originality these days. There’s many a struggling actor on the come up, we don’t need these washed ups, as much as I love them both, this is lazy. A sequel is not needed, even if it turns out to be a good film- GOD KNOWS RUSH HOUR 3 WERENT- it’s still more evidence that the film industry is running out of ideas! It’s time for a new wave of writers/actors/directors – all the current have had their time and now result to nostalgia to sell new films
