Patti Labelle is heading to FX!
After handing ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star NeNe Leakes a recurring role on his hit series ‘Glee’, TV creative Ryan Murphy has called on Soul singer Patti Labelle to join his FX series ‘American Horror Story’!

Booking a four episode stint on ‘Story’s ‘Freak Show‘, Labelle will play a local lady in a small town who begins to ruffle a murderous feather when she begins to unravel the deadly secrets of the town’s local killer.
‘Deadline’ adds:
Season four of the series, subtitled Freak Show, will focus on the last American freak show and be set in Jupiter, Fla., in the 1950s, with Jessica Lange in the lead role. The Emmy winner will portray a German expat managing one of the last remaining freak shows in the country. Returning stars set for Freak Showinclude Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett,Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Gabourey Sidibe and Evan Peters, among others, as well as AHS newcomers Michael Chiklis, The Hunger Games’ Wes Bentley, Fargo‘s John Carroll Lynch and The Normal Heart‘s Finn Wittrock. Chiklis is playing Bassett’s husband and Bates’ ex-husband.
Labelle’s role on ‘Freak’ comes thirty years after she portrayed Big Mary in ‘A Soldier’s Story‘, a racially geared movie directed by Norman Jewison.
