It would seem ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ is the latest show in the Bravo empire to demote one of its ‘Wives’ to “supporting status” this year, after cast member Porsha Williams revealed that she would not be returning to the show as a ‘Wife.’
However, that doesn’t mean she’ll be done with the show altogether.

Though some fans may see the message above as a goodbye, “I still love checking in with my girls” will certainly silence any talk that she’s been cut ties with the show for good, rather revealing that she has been demoted and will appear in the show’s seventh cycle as a “friend of the wives.”
In 2014, the arrival of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s sixth season saw former ‘Wife’ Kathy Wakile suffer a similar fate when producers reduced her to a recurring one, seeing her play a part in story lines fronted by its leading ladies.
This, after ‘The Real Housewives of New York’ saw original ‘Wife’ LuAnn de Lesseps play a similar role in its sixth cycle after starring in the series in the five that came before it, but is now reportedly gearing up to be reintroduced as a main character in its seventh season.
