Fans were interested in the opportunity were asked to email the address provided in the message and were then told when and where they would be required to join the series.

One of these fans was one Allyssa Kaiser who used the ‘Swarm‘ application on iOS to reveal that audience members had been asked to arrive at MTV’s parent company ‘Viacom‘ on Friday December 19th.

I can’t be the only one that saw it coming. Hopefully it won’t be like other failed attempts at reboots.

And I hope it’s better than the diaster that was F’n Mtv

Wale was right. They’re trying to get rid of us and take over our culture. Canceling 106 & Park and bringing back TRL was the next step…

MTV TRL use to be a fun show..i really enjoyed it and it was somewhat bias it use to promote both black and white artists! i’M piqued how it’s gonna be NOW with today’s music politics

I really want to see if that’s true. A month ago some of her fans on atrl.net were talking about something that could end her career but refused to say what it is. I wonder if the cat is out of the bag now. I can’t wait.

      106 had a GREAT run. 15 years.

I hated that show! It was all teenage screaming and yelling with maybe about 2 minutes of music videos. 106 and Park outlasted it for a reason.

I don’t see how it would work. Even MTV’s most recent daily show that was called “The Seven” which was like the 7 daily hot topics on Twitter/the web didn’t last very long. Sadly us late 80s-early 90s kids got to grow up during an era when watching music video countdowns on TV was where we saw and heard the latest from our favorite celebs we loved.

Nowadays with IG, Twitter, the web in general and YouTube…. I mean its so on demand, that why would these modern “i need everything now” teens want to watch a show at a set time daily. Sadly I don’t see it happening. 90s = the golden age! Loved being a kid then! #Holla —lol!
