Report: Tyra Banks Or Oprah Winfrey To Replace Donald Trump On The ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

Published: Sunday 2nd Aug 2015 by David

‘America’s Next Top Model’ maker Tyra Banks and Oprah Winfrey are reportedly being eyed by NBC to replace 2016 Presidential candidate Donald Trump on the hit show ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’

Trump was forced to part ways with the show when he announced his plans to run for the president as President Barack Obama creeps closer to the end of his run at the top.

His departure has forced NBC to search high and low for his replacement and are now said to be considering Winfrey and Banks for the role.

Kendyl Kearly of the publication ‘Bustle’ hinted that the business women were being considered earlier this week before the show’s creator Mark Burnett (‘The Voice’) announces the premiere date for its next season and which mogul would be given Trump’s enviable power.

Another name that has been thrown into the casting mix is the rapper turned mogul Jay-Z.

With TIDAL‘s misfortune wreaking havoc on his brand I feel taking on the ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ would see the star breathe new life into his brand as he heads towards 50 and finds himself competing in a Drake world.

As it stands his relationship with Beyonce sees them enjoy “royal” status in today’s game.

However, as a new group of Hip-Hop acts rise in his playground the coming years will see him struggle to keep his crown away from the likes of J. Cole, Drake & Kendrick Lamar as they are pushed towards the throne by fans more in tune with ‘The Warm Up‘ than they are with ‘The Blueprint.’

The solution? ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, a platform he could use to present himself as an older, wiser and wealthier statesman with the power to hire and fire celebrities clamouring to impress him- and his globally recognised brand- every week.

Just a thought.
