CBS Cancels ‘Extant’ / Hands Halle Berry New Legal Drama

Published: Friday 9th Oct 2015 by Sam

It’s officially curtains for Halle Berry‘s Sci-Fi drama ‘Extant.’

CBS, its network for two seasons, confirmed that the Steven Spielberg production will not be returning for a third run.

In an interesting (or should we say boss) move, the Oscar winning actress has been awarded a new series by the channel.

Details below…

CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller said of ‘Extant’s axe:

“CBS, Halle Berry and the producers have decided to conclude the Extant story after last season’s exciting and fitting conclusion. Extant played an important role in expanding CBS’ lineup of original scripted programming in the summer. We are proud of the show’s success on the network, as well as its popularity on Amazon Prime Video. We also want to thank the incomparable Halle Berry for her commitment and support for the series, and look forward to working with her on our next project together.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, that next project will be drama ‘Legalease.

Co-Produced by Berry (as part of her two year-year deal with CBS), the show will centre on a “biracial lawyer from Chicago who follows a case to New Orleans, where she finds herself partnering with a good ol’ boy white attorney while working in a justice system that will ultimately expose the biases that society harbors.”

As at writing, nothing is cemented as to whether Berry will have an on-screen role in the drama, although it’s said to not be the plan at present.

The show began to Lose me after about 7 episodes in Season 1. I just stopped watching. For whatever reason, it didn’t keep my attention and I ADORE Halle.
CBS will get it right! They need to create the role for HALLE… Reminds me of Viola Davis Emmy speech and how true it rang!

halle berry should have made the right choices from the start of her career ans not stuppped down to the gutter and play crack head drug addicts, so now halle has to keep playing that crap no one takes her serious because halle is not serious halle has proved that in her life with all her bad choices i read she ran away from a crime scene where halle left a lady to die, this b–ch is nuts, your personal life relly matter, to liyttle to late now halle berry you have had three decades to get it right no fans and next no loney, the illuminati will do a tax investigtion next and halle will have to file bankruptcy, good enough because halle treats people terrible and she is a horrible actor, Halle berry also has a ugly ugly atitud toward peeople and life
