John Boyega-Led ‘Star Wars’ Pulls In $700 Million…In Ten Days

Daisy Ridley and the Nigerian force that is John Boyega are set to have a very merry (a lucrative) Christmas thanks to numbers they’ve pulled in as the stars of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’

The actors have learned that the movie, which also stars Harrison Ford and Lupita Nyong’o, has swept up $765.9 million globally and is now on course to $1 billion before the weekend ends.

That isn’t all.

Outperforming efforts made by the likes of ‘The Hunger Games’, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and ‘Frozen’ the release has picked up $76. 5 million in the United Kingdom after speeding past the $74 million mark within the first week of its release!
