Queen Latifah and the Instagram model Amiyah Scott are to star in a spin-off of Lee Daniels‘ hit show ‘Empire.’
Good news for fans of the creative below…
Scott had been linked to a role in the latest season of the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ but was reportedly cut out of its current edit before its first episode aired.
However, all isn’t lost for the Southern belle. For, Daniels reached out to her in August to offer her a role in his latest project…a ‘Empire‘ spin-off starring Queen Latifah which tells the story of the character Cookie Lyon before she became Cookie Lyon.
Our production sources say Daniels loved Amiyah’s look and thought she’d be perfect for one of the singers in a girl group.
A premiere date is yet to be anounced.

Ew. Lee Daniels is just doing too much. Nobody wants to see Myran Scott on anyone’s television every week find someone with talent. You could have asked Laverne.

Loving it Lee! We all have roles in life, we should all be represented in film.
I think it’s a great idea to cast Amiyah Scott in any show if SHE fits the part. Why are so many of you so quick 2 discredit her ability to do any job that’s put on the table vs congratulating her on her accomplishments in her life.. So sad
I agree with you 100% so many people talk down on her but no nothing about her. I wish her the best of luck.
