90’s sitcom ‘Moesha’ blasted Brandy‘s star into the stratosphere and launched Countess Vaughn (who played Kim Parker) into the minds of the masses.
Like most successful shows, though, the backstage dramas were just as compelling as what was taking place on the screen.
In the years since the series ceased airing, its stars have remained relatively mum about personal issues, but have confirmed their existence.
Today, however, Vaughn – who is currently starring on the Hollywood Divas reality show – reached out to Brandy via Instagram to extend an olive branch.

Nah. That was just business. Brandy gets residuals from The Parkers as a silent producer of the show since it is a Moesha spinoff. Brandy and UPN decided to do that Parkers episode to cross-promote Moesha and increase ratings for both shows.

I’ve always heard back in the day that Brandy was a b**** to Countess and others on the set, reason being that everyone said that Countess made the show. In all honesty, there is something about Brandy that just doesn’t seem right, I just always got a fake aura from her, she just seems fake in general.

I applaud Countess for her misspelled, punctuation free apology. Grown men and women own up to their foolshness no matter how long it’s been. Countess was very mean to Brandy in those Moesha days when Brandy didn’t have the tact or the thick skin to stand up for herself. I’m all for the apology. The timing is hella suspect tho lol.
Girl stfu, Brandy was a known diva on the set, where she was flat out feeling herself, and Sheryl, Yvette “May she R.I.P, Countess “Who became the star of the show, which made Brandy even more of a b****” and others can attest to that.

It doesn’t matter when the apology came, just be happy that it occurred. Countess was finally becoming the bigger woman of the situation. She was on tv long before Brandy. She just wants to make amends with her sister…is that so wrong?

Countess and Brandy fell out after Countess called Brandy a b**** during rehearsals on the set of Moesha. Countess felt she was a better singer and actress than Brandy and felt that Brandy had too much power on the set. Countess later admitted that there was a rivalry and that she felt she deserved her own show. That’s how The Parkers started.
^ This! It’s pretty much the way I’ve always understood their complex relationship. Brandy showed Countess a lot of love afterwards (by even making a guest appearance on the Parkers) and if I’m not mistaken, she got Darkchild to do the Parkers theme song. She extended herself several times.
Yea. Brandy had a lot of respect for Countess. In the beginning of Moesha, the network hired Kim Fields to help Brandy develop her comedic acting. During this time, Brandy relied on Countess’ s experience and skills. But Countess took it too far and started overstepping her boundries. So Brandy started putting her foot down and that’s when the drama started. Kim Field’s little sister Alexis later became a series regular as Moesha’s gold digging college roommate.
Sheryl Lee Ralph and Brandy fell out after Sheryl violated her contract in Season 5 and started wearing braids. As petty as it sounds, Brandy’s trademark at that time was her braids and became furious that Sheryl would violate that rule. Sheryl also disliked Shar Jackson, Ray J and Lamont Bentley because she felt they were unprofessional spoiled brats. As a result, Sheryl ‘ s role on the show was downsized and her character was relocated to Jamaica. In 2013 Brandy ran up to Sheryl at an awards luncheon and apologized for any misunderstandings and they have since become friends again.
Brandy was a petty b****, and now that she’s a massive flop has been, she wants to act all sweet and humble, I saw through it years ago, girl bye, with her nasal voice fake ass.

Love Brandy so much! Brandy is one of the few celebrities to come in the industry HUMBLE and and stayed true to that trait over 20 years later. She’s never changed. Love you B-Rocka! And good sh!t Countess! I wish her the best too.
