The ‘Independence Day‘ story continues without Will Smith.
Opting not to reprise his role as the movie’s leading man when he learned 20th Century Fox were gearing up to create its sequel ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ Smith has been replaced by the fresh-faced Jessie Usher who steps in to lead the project.
Today, Usher joins his co-stars Vivica A. Fox and Jeff Goldblum to release its epic trailer before its June 24th 2016 with the help of a $200 million budget and cinematography by Markus Förderer.

Has Will been black listed or something? I don’t believe that he is just turning down all of these roles. Maybe they aren’t being written for him. If not he needs to write a major role for himself before he’s forgotten in this fickle and forgetful day and age.
Maybe u didn’t know but…Will was nominated last week for Best Actor at The Golden Globes. His new movie comes out next week, and he will likely receive an Oscar nomination as well.
Will is at a point in his career where he can cherry pick the movies he wants to do. And yes, he did turn all these films down. I would have too lol.
I’m worried that Will is losing out by not starring in any big movies. Kevin the C*** is killing it but at the expense of his dignity.

Will turned it down due to already doing a father-son film. Wasn’t excited about the role.
