Stacey Dash Disses Jada Pinkett Over Oscars Race Row / Says There Should Be No Black History Month Or BET

In a case of look who’s talking now (the Oscars Edition), Stacey Dash has weighed in with her take on the race row that has divided Hollywood.

As widely reported, debate erupted when not one actor or actress of color landed a nomination in the four main acting categories.

In the time since, the likes of Jada Pinkett, Janet “Aunt Viv” Hubert, and even the President of the Academy have spoken up and out.

Now, Dash – the ‘Clueless’ actress turned political commentator – has added her two cents to the conversation – and as predicted

The star, who was recently suspended from Fox News for saying President Barack Obama did not “give a sh*t,” used her return to the channel to voice her “interesting” take on the current matte. Via RN:

I think it’s ludicrous,” she opined. “Because we have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you are only awarded if you are black.”

“So you say there should not be a BET channel?” Fox News host Steve Doocy wondered.

“No, just like there shouldn’t be a Black History Month,” Dash replied. “You know, we’re Americans. Period. That’s it.”

“Are you saying there shouldn’t be a Black History Month because there isn’t a White History Month?” Doocy pressed.

“Exactly!” Dash insisted.

Watch the video below…

It’s incredibly apt that the only role of note Stacey has featured in is ‘Clueless.’ To be so reductive about an issue that ironically affects her is bewildering.

Foolishness.

This dumb c*** b****. Hope this sellout gets hit by a bus.

  3. #TeamTinashe Stan January 20, 2016

Then we should get rid of the Latin and different race networks all together? She is so dumb.

    • OMG Logic!!! January 20, 2016

False Equivalency. The Latin channels are made so that Spanish speakers have something to watch. Black Americans still speak English last I checked.

      • Just wondering January 21, 2016

Well maybe we’d speak in our native tounge too if we weren’t brought here on boats and had our culture BEAT out of us. So English it is. I know you tried to be deep, but it’s not for you sis!

      • OMG Logic!!! January 21, 2016

Blame your fellow Africans for selling your tribes to European colonists. If it wasn’t for them, you might have been born in the beautiful Africa where you could be free to starve to death or die in as part of the countless civil wars going on. But hey, at least you’d still have your culture.

  5. ???Chile, leave my weave at the door and don’t steal it like those broke ass barb stans??? January 20, 2016

This is what a brainwashed puppet looks and sounds like. She’s not a loss to the black community, so just go ahead and drop her off somewhere and let her have a seat with her nose facing a corner.

  6. Courtney January 20, 2016

Ms Dash is a certifiable idiot there’s a black history month to honor the contributions the African Americans have made to the world. Bet network was created because black artists weren’t getting equal airtime on M TV and V.H.1

  7. Barb-wire January 20, 2016

What a stupid clueless b****, she has been brainwashed and made a puppet for so long she’s believing the crap she’s spewing.

  8. RDK January 20, 2016

this is a serious question, doe this woman sit around and think and plan of ways to p*** people off,she is one of the highest level trolls put there.

  9. madbrax January 20, 2016

As stupid as this Oscars controversy is, and it’s just people being butthurt because they and their spouse aren’t talented enough to get nominated, what Stacey is saying is just complete nonsense. only way for this b*tch to get press is to stay stupid s*** like this

  10. Shady81 January 20, 2016

Here we go again! If there’s an Uncle Tom out there then she’s certainly an Aunt Tammy. If the world was to end tomorrow this b**** should be the first one to go!. And correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t this broad looked like she bleached her skin to be Caucasian my inquiring mind wants to know. Because she seem like the type that would join the Ku Klux Klan if they invited her, that just takes me back to the Dave Chapelle Show when he played that black Ku Klux Klan member screaming WHITE POWER! But this M**********’s Black as soon they pulled the hood from his head. This B**** need to take her KKK loving wannabe ASS and BURN IN HELL!.

    • Shady81 January 20, 2016

      She’s a White Supremacist in a Black Women’s Body.

  11. LB January 20, 2016

House negroes are the worst. Just because she has crumbs from “massa’s” table doesn’t mean she is better than anybody.

At the end of the day, week, month, second, year, you’re still a negro to white people.

What people will do for a check, someone shut her up please.

  12. blue January 20, 2016

why is everyone now making this about the smiths? The problem is not that will was not nominated but that no person of color was nominated? Are the smith dissappointed? Probabley, but that does not mean there isnt a larger problem at hand within the industry. Look at the asian community that has reserved themselves to the clever-sidekick roles, you can change things by stopping the fight.

    • King Mark111 /.\ January 20, 2016

Ha! They didn’t let her speak nor did she get a hug. Maybe that’s why she hate Blacks. lol

      • sleazy January 22, 2016

lol she did speak but no hug . she said Tlc

  13. Hmmm… January 20, 2016

There is a white history month, several of them in fact. I could agree that black history month shouldn’t be necessary, but the reality is that it is… unfortunately. The thing I resented the most in school was the content taught in those stupid world history textbooks–the books that are supposed to give insight to a respectable range of historical significance from an appreciable amount of perspectives–but really all they did was follow white people around the world. When are native Americans mentioned in a world history textbook? When the terrori- I mean settlers got here. Africans? When Europeans needed them to labor for them after they killed a substantial amount of natives with smallpox. Asians? For silk and spices of course. The only time people of color are important enough to be included in history is when they come in contact with white people. As if we didn’t exist before that. That’s not world history. That’s white history. This bird Stacy and whoever else can have several seats.

  14. MusicFan103 January 20, 2016

She truly is a CLUELESS actress if she doesn’t understand the reason why we have a month to observe the greatness blacks have done in history.

Perhaps Miss Dash [Miss thang! in my Aunt Viv voice] if blacks in history were taught and spoken of during the 11 other months of the years, then we wouldn’t need 1 short ass month to celebrate them during.

  15. BeyKnowlesBest January 20, 2016

Stacey Dash is the epitome of a scorned black woman. black men did her so dirty that she’ll do and say anything to make us look bad, only difference is she’s biracial so she can claim her “other side” when convient … It’s a shame cuz I used to live for her to.

  16. .:: Centurion ::. January 20, 2016

When did she get so… white washed? She’s a disgrace to Black people.

  17. .:: Centurion ::. January 20, 2016

I can’t believe that Stacy is saying these things on her own free will. She must be medicated.

  18. DIABETES UNBOTHERED January 20, 2016

What she said is the absolute TRUTH… ITS TRUE. BUT not by the justified means in which she put it!!!!!! Therw shouldnt NEED to be BET AWARDS OR BLKHISMNTH!!!! BUt unfortunetly blacks DONT get there justdo/justice. so it is NEEDED therefore why it exist. How dense can sum1 be. clueless oh the irony.

  19. credits January 20, 2016

Not that I agree but her comment about being recognized as just Americans and not black or white is the same thing Raven symone said on Oprah….hmmm

  20. DIABETES UNBOTHERED January 20, 2016

If we don’t want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards. The IRONY in this statement… the reason why bet & BHM wxist is because segregation and discrimination existed & still exist. WTF IS THIS HO TALMOUT????

  21. Ciah’s Turtle January 20, 2016

    Ok, see… NO

  22. Barb B**** January 20, 2016

    Huh? This bish stupid af

  23. Mr. CEE January 20, 2016

She’s a disgrace to the black community and clearly it out of touch with not only history, but “reality”. Actually, it’s truly unfortunately and sad for her.
The point of it all is no matter what the recognition is, or for whatever the cause is, it should all be fair to ALL individuals, regardless of race, etc. It’s not about segregation.
BET, NAACP, etc. exist because the “reality” of today is that if those outlets didn’t exist, there would simply be minority talents, movements, causes that would go unrecognized that should be recognized and celebrated.

  24. RICHIE_RICH January 20, 2016

I agree with we are Americans or what not, but biitch please with the other BS ✋???????

  25. ?Queen Molly? January 20, 2016

    She should really stfu

  26. Ronnie January 20, 2016

I remember back in school the only time we learned about black leaders, influential African Americans was during black history month. Anything prior was just about slavery. Kinda sad when you think about it.

  28. I’m black too January 20, 2016

Why do you black ppl want to have your cake and eat it too? Why isn’t there an Asian history month? A Hispanic history month? Why you only award black ppl awards at Bet and soultrain? And now you want recognisition at white folks events… #byefelicia

    • Truth January 20, 2016

      :::blank stare @ you :::

      – Asian History Month is May.
      – Hispanic History Month is September/October.

      You were saying?

      #ByeI’mBlackToo
      (Liar)

      • I’m black too January 20, 2016

My bad, the country I’m from doesn’t have Asian or Hispanic history month.

    • Tyler Makiavelli January 20, 2016

There is a Hispanic heritage month, ya big dummy.
Black people can never win for losing. When we don’t speak up people walk all over us. When we do, people want to claim that we are doing too much.
We didn’t create the system. You can’t blame us for the injustices that Latino’s and Asians face.
Throughout history, black people have never been afraid to take a stance. We constantly fight for our rights. If other minorities want to see a change, maybe they should jump on boared and start taking a stance too.

      • I’m black too January 20, 2016

Yeah, I get your point. Why are blacks so pressed about wanting recignition from white folks, who will never provide that

    • BeyBarbFenty January 20, 2016

      …please

  29. DIABETES UNBOTHERED January 20, 2016

There are atleast 10 WHITE entertainers with a BET AWARD. JUST FYI Plus SEVERAL white entertainers performed. Idk about the NAACP award a i think Its also awarded other races

    • I’m black too January 20, 2016

Black ppl have won Oscars too. Didn’t dream girls win some awards too. Why do the big four categories matter so much? Had anyone considered that competition was tough in those categories…!

  30. mar January 20, 2016

We’re so quick to jump at what people say, rather then try to understand where there coming from. I belive that like soo many Stacy has a valid point but inst articulating it well. The point is if the Bet Awards are just for African Americans, if the Latin Billboard awards are only awarded to spanish artist, why why is it surprising that there would be award shows that primarily recognize Caucasians? Are they not supposed to have pride for their heritage? Or is that something thats only acceptable to people of ethnic backgrounds? Theres a double standard. Another thing that bothers me is the people that b*tch over the Grammys and Oscars are the same black folk who never show up to the bet awards, soul Train awards, etc. They not making a big deal over them awards, but crying about a board of people who ain’t even thinking bout them.

    • Barb B**** January 20, 2016

The oscars don’t market themselves as an award show exclusive to white people like the BET Awards. It’s supposed to be for everyone but is contradicting by showing clear white preference. Same applies to the Grammys. That’s the issue.

      • mar January 20, 2016

And I agree with you. But the Oscars has ALWAYS been a White Man’s award show. Since the beginning. Theres been avenues created for Blacks to be acknowledged but we shun them as though there not good enough. Why is it that the acceptance from the Oscars matter soo much but a BET award is considered a joke? We’re chasing after people whom for years have blantly made it obvious that they don’t give a f*ck about “BLACK” folk. We can’t even come together to create our own empires. No, we want to be apart of the white Empire soo bad.

      • Barb B**** January 20, 2016

I agree that we shouldn’t chase white approval as much but people just want to be accepted as equals because it’s human nature. These award shows are giving ethic minorities an inch but it stops there. The problem is it should be all or nothing. And as it’s closer to nothing, which is wrong in 2016 and shows how BACKWARD the industry still is, and to highlight is not a bad thing imo. But some people should have more dignity because it does make blacks look desperate for approval.

  31. Gee January 20, 2016

This chick is certified lost she talks about getting rid of BET yet she was on The Game on BET how easily she forgot she also forgot her last husband was white and cheated on her but still in all this chick is brown nosing the white world and no matter how much b*** kissing she does she will always be a black girl from The Bronx who is being used by Fox News for controversy and ratings.

  32. DIABETES UNBOTHERED January 20, 2016

I still think both Jada & Stacey are out of line with their statements. Now the oscars are supposed to feel forced to give out sympathy awards next year to black actors. Is teraji p henson idris alba queen latifa Dwayne johnson not having a oscar this year or last year really hurting their careers that much??? Blk ppl need to stop being so SENSITIVE. this new about not having blk actors nominated in big categories just makes at that much better for the Nextblk actor that DOES get the oscar & NOT FOR PLAYING A S**** eithernominated and Does win.

  33. Danzou January 20, 2016

Raven and Stacy are on my s.hit list.

  34. DIABETES UNBOTHERED January 20, 2016

Id much rathert there be no black actors nominated than one that wins an oscar for a DEGRADING role… i cant even think of a black oscar winner that won the oscar for playing a empowered person. Its always for playing a s****(lupita) or bum(halle) or poor(monique) loudangryreplaced(jhud) drug dealer(Denzel).

    • OMG Logic!!! January 20, 2016

Whoopi Goldberg for the heroic Psychic in Ghost? Morgan Freeman for the retired champion boxer in Million Dollar Baby? Jamie Foxx for the legendary Ray? You tried it!

And just so you know, there is nothing degrading about playing raw, emotional, vulnerable roles. Monique’s role in Precious is one of the greatest Supporting roles of all time, and the fact that you focus on stereotypes shows your ignorance and lack of appreciation for cinema.

  35. DIABETES UNBOTHERED January 20, 2016

Will Smith has been nominated for both “Ali” and “Pursuit of Happiness”, but still seems to be in the pursuit of an Academy Award

  36. OMG Logic!!! January 20, 2016

She’s right about BET and Awards shows that cater to one specific race; however, things like Black History month exist to reminds us of the achievements of important Black Americans. Removing Black History month is like getting rid of the 4th of July or President’s Day.

  37. CL says Hello Bi+ches January 20, 2016

You betches better get ready for me in may.

  38. Cindy Lindy January 20, 2016

Who dug up this ignorant clown for her two cents????

Go crawl back into whatever hole you were in Stacey, we don’t need you.

  39. King Mark111 /.\ January 20, 2016

BET, The Black is for Black culture. Should we get rid of LifeTime: TV for woman because woman want to be equal? No, is Nick Jr being ageist? The trick is nuts. “Master feeds us, master cloth us. I luv master”

    • OMG Logic!!! January 20, 2016

Lifetime is targeted towards women, but anyone can watch it. It’s movies and shows don’t exclude men like BET purposely excludes White people.

      Nice try though.

      • King Mark111 /.\ January 20, 2016

Eminem, JT, Ed Sherren, Sam Smith, Robin Thicke say hello. They’re videos plays on BET, they sing at the BET Awards and most shows have a White friend. BYE! Don’t like it, don’t watch.

    • OMG Logic!!! January 20, 2016

Nick Jr. is aimed towards young audiences but they don’t only cast kids in their shows. There are adult actors in almost all of them.

Again, you tried it. Come up with better arguments you lame b1tch.

  40. Time To Change January 21, 2016

Stacy is just the extreme of the other Jada Pinkett Smith bashers. Regardless of why, Jada’s message still stands. Unfortunately, the Uncle Tom foolery happened before Stacy added her 2 cents. Bottom line, if Will or any other person of color was nominated there’d be no need to boycott. There’s is zero blacks nominated. Again. If you google Jada or follow her, you’d know she’s a very straight forward, progress thinker and is active in bringing awareness to our community. This small urban mindset is why WE’RE always fighting amongst ourselves and not fighting the real battles at hand. Racists love you for it. Another form of black on black degradation. The question still remains, what are you doing Black people to bring change to OUR community? Real answers please. The sarcastic, judgemental thumb thugging is powerless, pointless and pitiful. Like a yapping dog hiding under the couch. Just stop.

    • OMG Logic!!! January 21, 2016

Someone hasn’t read Uncle Tom and is using it incorrectly as a degrading term surprise surprise!

  41. FC/JC January 21, 2016

    C*** C*** C*** C*** C***; that’s all I see and hear, just a dummy!!!!!!! Can’t stand her!

  44. Dominick January 22, 2016

I actually AGREE with her. The history is changing rapidly. People are people. I don’t even care who’s straight, gay, bisexual, white, latin, black, male or female… SHE IS RIGHT!
