Which projects make up the ingredients of today’s shake?
The hit British TV show ‘Undercover’ and the movie production company built by TLC group member T-Boz.
Sophie Okonedo and Adrian Lester star in ‘Undercover’ which follows the story of a woman named Maya who is on course to becoming the first Black director of Public Prosecutions.
Little does she know that her husband isn’t who he says he is and fabricated his past to conceal the fact that he was once a dangerous undercover officer.
The series will make its way to BBC America on November 17th, 2016, joining the likes of ‘How To Get Away with Murder’ to impact TV during the last quarter of the year.
Elsewhere, TLC‘s T-Boz is celebrating the birth of her first production company.
‘Shadow & Act’ reports:
Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of TLC has launched a production company called ATLA, with plans to produce original programming for both film and TV.
ATLA’s first project, which comes from writer/producer Carlton Jordan (creator of the web series “Love Handles” and producer on reality shows “#TheWestbrooks” and “Big Freedia: Queen Of Bounce”), will be a teen musical film titled “What About Your Friends?” (WAYF), which will explore what happens when a national talent contest comes to a small Southern town.
This wouldn’t be the first time the ‘Creep‘ performer has taken on a production role.
In 2006, she was an Executive Producer on the movie ‘ATL‘ and played the same role on VH1’s TLC biopic ‘Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story.’
