Lady Gaga‘s comeback campaign has scored a major touchdown.
For it has been confirmed that she will indeed star in the much-discussed remake of ‘A Star Is Born.’

The reveal comes courtesy of Deadline, who report that production on the Warner Bros picture will officially begin early next year.
Gaga, real name Steffani Germonatta, will star in the leading role opposite actor Bradley Cooper – who will serve as the flick’s director. The narrative sees Golden Globe winner play the role of an artist whose star is rising as quickly as her lover’s is fading.
Beyond being Gaga’s first studio starring role, the deal will see her compose and perform new music for the film.
Fellow Pop titan Beyonce was previously tied to the production, yet her name was never officially announced.

They didn’t take anything from Bey. She walked away from the roll. When Clint Eastwood was directing it, he wanted her. Than Bradley Cooper took over for directing and he still wanted to work with Bey. Due to her schedule she had to quit the movie. But they never officially announced her as the lead actress. She was just tied and in talks to play the rolr for years.

this is the fourth time this movie has been done the other three are 1937 1954 and 1976 all three of which were at least award nominated if not also winning for instance the 1954 version garnered Judy Garland an Oscar Nomination for best actress though Grace Kelly Won for the Country Girl though Judy had given birth to her youngest child only son Joey Luft early the previous morning

I personally don’t think taking this role was a wise decision for her career as seeing how the plot of the movie isn’t to far off from her own personal claim to frame. I could be wrong, however, I don’t think the general public is going to go see this, I mean sure she good in AHS but the ratings said otherwise. Idk we’ll find out next year.

From the little things we have seen she´s a better actress than Beyonce and Rihanna (obviously) but also than Madonna. This could be very good for her.
However, I disagree with everybody who says this could revive her music career on the commercial front. If something is a fact about nowadays music industry is that talent is not required. So Gaga showing acting skills and this film being acclaimed wouldn´t change her music career imo. It would be just a real artist doing great things and getting recognition once again. But sadly, nowadays singles charts wouldn´t care. For that she would have to release the perfect product for teh charts (which doesn´t mean the best product) and also she would need radio support and all Titties Perry and Rihanna get 🙂
