FOX‘s ‘Empire’ shows no signs of crumbling.
Season 3 of the music drama made its much touted return to the small screen last night and it did so to large ratings.

Per TV By The Numbers, the Lee Daniels production remains the #1 scripted show on broadcast TV after premiering 10.80 million viewers. It achieved a 4.1 rating in the all important 18-49 demographic.
Though well below the 16 million who tuned into the season 2 debut (which earned the 2015 broadcast a 6.7 rating), yesterday’s figure is in line with last season’s finale. An indication that there’s been little-to-no drop off with the show’s core viewership.
What’s more, network execs will no doubt be pleased that the return of ‘Empire’ helped them crush any and all competition on the night.
With high-profile appearances from the likes of Mariah Carey set for the third season, all eyes will be on whether Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, and co can maintain the momentum.
Honestly, I was really bored last night. And I hate how they easily get over deaths on that show it isn’t realistic and every scene is very jumpy.
What happen to Jamal’s recovery – he was in and out the hospital in 10 mins. PLEASE BRING ON A REAL SUPERSTAR WITH REAL VOCALS – WAITING FOR MRS. MARIAH CAREY TO SLAY OUR TV SCREENS.

Stopped watching a few episodes in to season 2. It got so boring so quickly.

Won’t watch after Miss Messy Lee Daniels hired Taye Diggs. Taye Diggs is notorious for taking out full length ads against us. Taye said that we stopped him from making money because we don’t watch his films. So I guess Miss Messy Lee Daniels want to guarantee him a paycheck. I’m sure Miss Messy Lee Daniels don’t think we would stop watching Empire. But I will.
I enjoyed it especially the to go plate line. Cookie so bossy! Oan my show Queen Sugar came on right after and OWN is starting to really get good. Queen Sugar five stars the haves and have nots is pretty good too. Im living for all this chocolete. I remember black shows wouldnt be as vast as it is on tv now. It use to be like UPN one night, a string of black shows would come on and that was black sitcom for the week. Lol. Better days ahead.. thank God for dvr.
Show was blah! Seriously you guys wintess somebody fall to thier death & the next day everyone is back in the office like nothing happened. Jamal needs to sit his ass down and rest, he had no business being on stage after being shot anyway! Cookie… I’m so over her and her charter/luscious! Boo Boo Kittie even having a baby you still bore me! Andre he is so fine and actually one my favs on the show his character has a purpose. Hakeem……..,
Boo Boo Kitty did Rhonda so dirty. This show is messy but the premiere was one of the best episodes in a hot minute! Great acting.
It was alright last night, but I did get a little bored.

Empire is nothing compared to her Christmas and Valentines Day endorsement deals. She is also releasing a new album toooo!!!! She has so much going on and coming up. My wallet is ready. I honestly dont know how she does it 27 years into her career. I just need you to come thru MIMI, my lucious vocal eternal powerhouse QUEEN!!!!!

I think its great show, particularly since its a Black oriented show on a MAJOR network. If you don’t like it, change the channel and watch something else. Black audiences are so not used to having multiple shows be successful they always ball-bash one so that only one is on air. Then we are the same people who complain that TV isn’t “diverse” enough. Sometimes I feel Black people just want to complain for the sake of it. The show is good/better than most shows and thank you to FOX for keeping it going.
