Eddie Murphy (pictured above with Halle Berry) is to be honoured for his contributions to the arts this year.
The actor will receive a career achievement award at the 20th annual Hollywood Film Awards on November 6 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
James Corden will host the event and will join its attendees to look on as Murphy follows in the footsteps of Harrison Ford, Richard Gere, Glenn Close and Dustin Hoffman by receiving the award.
