Often smudged out of history lessons, the layered, complex and victorious stories of black people in the United Kingdom were celebrated by the BBC via a series of documentaries this month.
They fell under the umbrella ‘Black & British.’
Thanks to the platform, and our friends over at ‘Shadow and Act’, you can now watch over eight hours worth of programming built for the series which stars the supermodel Naomi Campbell.

We African Americans are the only ones (other than African nations) that really cherish out history & culture. While most denied their heritage (Latin America) or are wiped out (European).
You are assuming that all Latin Americans have African blood in them and that is incorrect, it all depends on the region, Latin America is a big region, some countries have more Amerindias (México, central América, Perú, Bolivia and Ecuador), others more blacks (mostly the Hispanic Caribbean islands Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and in South America Brazil), and others are predominantly white (Argentina and Uruguay), so to put on the same box such a diverse group of people is pure ignorance. Either way the European genes prevails in Latin America, except Haiti, witch I didn’t included on the list because even though they speak a Latin Language, they’re just black, while the blacks Dominicans, Cubans and Puerto Rican are heavily mixed. If you go to Argentina you would be surprised to see that 90% of the population is European, it’s also very European in terms of culture, so don’t make the mistake to think that Latinos are all the same. Btw, the only people who deny their origins are black, that’s a black issue, not a Dominican or Puerto Rican one, a lot of AA do it too, just saying.
I was with you till you said the people of Haiti are just “black” which tell me you are as clueless as partial of your name.
The level of Blackness of Haiti is only comparable to that of Sub-Saharan African countries, only 1% of the population is non-black, Haiti is one of the most homogeneous countries in the world, nothing to do with the multicultural society of other Latin America countries.

European gene prevails, yet most of Latin America have brown to dark skin, dark hair, wide noses and full lips. Ok… You comment is so missinfromed that I don’t have to time to correct it. Seems like a life time of ignorance.

You need to travel more, also it’s called olive skin tone, (like south Spaniards, south Italians, Portugueses and Greeks) not brown like blacks, dark hair, full lips (not in the same way of black people) and even the nose are all traits that you can find in south European populations, hell, I’m Scandinavian and most Nordic people have pillowed lips (again the Angelina Jolie type, not the Jay-Z type), if you think only black people possesses certain traits you’re very wrong, even Asian can have full lips and wide noses, are those traits inherited from sub-Saharan Africans too?…….Jesus take some classes of anthropology.
