‘Hidden Figures’ Tops Box Office for 2nd Consecutive Weekend

The combination of Octavia Spencer, Taraji P. Henson, and Janelle Monae has proven a potent punch at box offices!

For, after capturing the #1 spot its debut weekend, reports have it their film – ‘Hidden Figures’ – is set to top the box office for a second week in a row.

Via Variety:

“Hidden Figures” faced stiff competition from Lionsgate’s “La La Land,” riding high after sweeping the Golden Globe Awards, and STX’s “The Bye Bye Man,” which earned $14.5 million and $13.4 million, respectively. “La La Land” is widely expected to dominate the Oscar nominations. The musical about lovestruck Angelenos should finish the four-day weekend with another $17.5 million in domestic receipts, which would bring its stateside total to more than $77 million.

    Now, this is the America I know and love! The support for this movie has been nothing short of spectacular! A critical and commercial success! Word of mouth has been amazing…no longer hidden figures, these three awesome women are being celebrated! Congrats to everyone involved
