Missy Elliott Nabs Role On FOX’s ‘Star’

Published: Tuesday 24th Jan 2017 by Nehemiah

Missy Elliott is the latest name to sign on to hit FOX drama ‘STAR.’

Head below for the details…

The series executive producer, Lee Daniels, has enlisted the help of the Grammy-winning rapper and producer to further stir the plot. According to Deadline, Missy will play a ‘dangerous’ producer/artist named ‘Pumpkin,’ who is apparently a blast from Carlotta’s (Queen Latifah) past.

The addition of the ‘WTF (Where They From)’ femcee follows the news that Porsha Williams of ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ had also landed a role on the Wednesday night drama.

While ‘Star’ has proven to be a winner, its constant celebrity guest roles could assert the same redundancy as its predecessor ‘Empire.’

Missy we want a new album. I feel like females are scared to make albums (rappers) like what’s the problem?
    Only that’s consistent is Trina.

Stop this is a great show and we dont need it going downhill with these corny ass celeb cameos Thats what made empire trash.

Clock the T. Say whatever you want about Lee Daniels, but he looks out for Black LGBTQ talents – Jussie, Latifah, Missy, Miss Lawrence, Raven, Azmarie, Amiyah, Da Brat, Rafael de La Fuente, Eka Darville…

Where is her new album?! “Where They From” was released in November 2015 boo! She shoulda been released a new album. Why would she put all that time and effort into that song and video if she wasn’t gonna do anything to support it? Maybe she’s taking a page from Fergie’s playbook and plans on keeping us hanging for over two years with constant promises of new material.

    • MusicLife January 24, 2017

Well least fergie has dropped three songs and music videos, so she is showing promise. Missy had one song and video promoted.

What happened to that album. Missy stays pissing people off making them wait and wait.

    • PeaceMaker January 25, 2017

I’ll tell you why, she too scared it might flop.

      • MusicLife January 25, 2017

She is a legend. Who cares if it flops per 2017 standards. She is fromthe 90s.
