ABC is looking to take a few Ls in its upcoming season: Larenz, Laverne, and Lance!
That’s right, after finding success with its shows ‘Black-ish,’ ‘Scandal,’ ‘How To Get Away with Murder,’ and other series that feature leading actors of colors, the prime network is looking to continue in that vein by introducing two new shows featuring Tate, Gross, and Cox as leads.
Get the details inside:
Written by Scherick and Ronn and directed by Michael Engler, The Trustee is described as a fun, female buddy cop comedy about Eliza Radley (Rath), a driven but stubborn detective who finds unlikely help from her precinct’s trustee, a larger-than-life ex-con (Cox) finishing out her prison sentence doing menial tasks for the police department.
Written by Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg and directed by Gary Fleder, Salamander centers on Ethan (Tate), a brilliant but misanthropic engineer who recruits a skeptical Homeland Security psychiatrist, Nora (Miller), to help him track a mysterious bank robber whose theft of 66 specific safety deposit boxes, belonging to the elite and powerful, sets in motion a series of blackmails that might be linked to a greater conspiracy.
