As we reported here, Tyler Perry‘s 2016 Halloween-inspired hit film, ‘Boo! A Madea’s Halloween,’ grossed a whopping $74 million, making it the second most successful movie of the ‘Madea’ franchise to date (behind 2009’s ‘Madea Goes to Jail’).

The comedy horror film’s homerun at the box-offce was undoubtedly the inspiration behind the quick turnaround for its follow-up, ‘Boo 2!’ Written, directed, and starring Perry as the lovable, but troublesome lead character, the film is set for an October 20, 2017 theatrical opening.

No one is stopping you. Think you for yourself and not for others. Are you that insecure that you need validation to support or not support somebody ?

UGH! It’s sambos & buffoons like all of you commenting in defense that are the reason why his minstrel shows continue to succeed in the box office. It’s disgusting!

@Brent Christpher I am very successful and not a “sambos” or “bafoon”. It is my perrogative what I watch for entertainment. It has no bearing or influence on my professional career at all. Instead of bashing his fans and calling them names like a why not use his success as a reference point and motivation for yourself? If you do not like his films and think black people as a whole should not be watching them then go to film school, learn how to make and direct films, and then make black movies with better content that will do well at the box office. Whining on here and name calling people that do not see things your way is what insecure punks do and at the end of the day Tyler Perry and myself are winning are you sir are just full of bitterness.

Black People in the United States specifically are the most complacent group amongst all other minorities. Collectively, we will accept ANY representation of ourselves in mainstream media FOR AS LONG AS it makes us laugh. It’s sad!
