The 9 PM. edition of Marlonaveraged a 1.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers overall (Live+same day), making it the summer’s #1 new scripted series on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 and total viewers.

Sorry but the show is not good. I like Marlon but he is too over the top. Essence is not funny. And the other chick is the show to me. She is hella funny. The other dude is boring. They should have had a funnier wife, ala Tisha Campbell or Tichina Arnold. I give it one more season. Marlon is just… needs a revamp.

Agreed. Marlon is too wacky/wanna be slapstick. It’s just not a smooth show but the (girl) friend is hilarious!

Marlon is over the top in a wacky gay white person way

I didn’t find anyone funny on the show other than the other chick, the friend. I’m surprised they cast a non-funny wife and non-funny kids.

Exactly. Half the time Marlon’s jokes are tired. Especially the “white people do this, black people do that” jokes. So tired

I was done after one episode and forgot this show ever existed.
