Will You Be Watching? Lifetime’s ‘Flint’ [Starring Queen Latifah, Jill Scott]

Published: Saturday 28th Oct 2017 by Rashad

After winning over fans with their critically acclaimed 2012 remake of the iconic film, ‘Steel Magnolias,’ Grammy-winning stars Jill Scott and Queen Latifah are teaming up with Lifetime again – this time to shed light on the ongoing water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

As fans recall, pop icon Cher was originally attached as the film’s star and executive producer, but cited “family issues” as her reasons for pulling out.  Never to worry, Scott and Latifah have carried the torch in her stead with the film now titled ‘Flint.’  And, if the heart-tugging trailers are anything to judge by, they exceeded every expectation.

See the previews inside and tell us:  will you be watching?!

Directed by ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ director Bruce Beresford, the film – executive produced by Queen Latifah and others – premieres on October 28 at 8p/7p CST on Lifetime.

A movie on an issue that STILL is an issue is mad awkward. Folks in Flint still dont have clean water, but today they can flip on Lifetime and watch a whole movie about it.

What’s the point of doing this movie while this situation is still going on and that money could go to fixing the water pipes ?
