Deadline reports that the paths of Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating will cross later in current seasons of both shows.
Details are being kept under wraps, but Kerry Washington gave a hint on Instagram moments ago in a not so subtle message to Viola Davis.

Both shows have proven to be integral components of the TGIT (Thank God It’s Thursday) block programming from Shonda Rhimes. What’s more, they share many of the same viewers. Thus the excitement that is already greeting the news.
The crossover lends credence to reports that ‘Scandal’ – now in its 7th and final season – aims to go out with a bang. ‘Murder,’ which is in its 4th, will also no doubt gain a major rub from the venture too.
One can imagine that ABC saw the success of crossovers between Empire/Star as well as Law & Order/Chicago Fire and saw an opening.
