Published: Tuesday 9th Jan 2018 by Sam

Angela Bassett‘s new procedural drama ‘9-1-1’ is off to a blazing start.

As reported, the show opened strong with its initial broadcast and new data shows it actually performed better that first thought.

Full story below…

Last Wednesday’s premiere was the 2nd most watched show in its primetime slot with an audience of 6.8 million viewers.

Now, with delayed viewing factored in as well as on-demand consumption, the figure has risen to 10.5 million.

This includes an extra 705,000 views from Fox Now and Hulu.

Co-created by Ryan Murphy and exec produced by Bassett, the second episode of the emergency responder show airs tomorrow. Can it maintain its momentum? We sure hope so!

If this show stays on its current trajectory it will be the show to watch.
It pulls on your heart strings like This Is Us.
Not to mention it has action and even better Actors.

I like the show and will continue to watch but I knew they would sabotage her marriage from the start which really gets on my nerves. With only a few exceptions, major networks just don’t allow black love to be depicted on mixed cast dramas.
