‘Grown-ish’ just grew from one season to two. For, Freeform’s ‘Black-ish’ spin-off has officially been picked up for a second run.

The network have announced that the show – which is anchored by Yara Shahidi – has been renewed for a 20-episode second season.
Airing Wednesday nights, the half-hour comedy, ‘Grown-ish’ follows Shahidi’s character Zoey – the 17-year-old daughter of Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross) – as she heads into her freshman year at college.
The show’s cast is comprised of new and familiar faces including Beyonce protégés Chloe and Halle Bailey as well as Trevor Jackson.
A ratings success upon its premiere at the start of this year, ‘Grown-ish’ also been received well by critics. Indeed, it presently enjoys a 91% approval ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
