Published: Thursday 15th Mar 2018 by Sam

Remy Ma is slowly but surely building buzz for her music comeback – and continues to use TV as one of her primary vehicles.

Indeed, the femcee is branching out beyond her reality show rooting and stepping into the scripted arena. For, she’s just joined the cast of ‘Queen Of The South’ on the USA Network.

Full story below…

It’s been announced that the rapper will appear on the upcoming third season of the gritty drama.

She’s star as Vee, a key member of Chicago drug mogul Devon Finch’s (Jamie Hector) security detail.

Ma’s character is described as being “efficient in combat and weaponry, courageous, deeply loyal, and can always be depended on by her boss and crew.”

The news arrives ahead of the release of the star’s long-awaited album ‘7 Winters & 6 Summers’ – the latest single of which is ‘Melanin Magic’ featuring Chris Brown.

While, like Remy, we’d prefer to see better yields for her music, there’s no denying that she stays stacking her coins via other ventures.

Perhaps in time it’ll benefit her musical output commercially. Perhaps.

In any case, congrats.

I love this show! MC Lyte is on the show too as a part of Devon’s crew and she plays her role very well. I’m sure Remy is gonna get some great scenes and lines. Can’t wait!
