Watch: ‘What Koreans Think Of Black Panther’

Published: Thursday 8th Mar 2018 by David

For years and for a number of reasons, Hollywood’s movie studios have sought out Caucasian actors for the leading roles in their pictures.

Left for gifted actors of colour? The occasionally impossible mission to find roles that speak to and for talent that often goes overlooked by the general public.

As a result, many African-American players find themselves forced to sustain their careers by playing dangerously stereotypical roles which are then used to fuel unfavourable ideas many have about their people…globally.

How Ryan Coogler‘s ‘Black Panther’ is lifting the world out of this darkness?

By offering Asian movie buffs  new and far more accurate insight into blackness.

The result? Magic.

Watch ‘What Koreans Think of Black Panther‘ to see it for yourself, below…

Portions of ‘Panther’ were shot in South Korea where it earned $25.3 million in its opening weekend.

What do you think about the video above?

That comment is derived out of ignorance and racism. There is nothing wrong with Asian men. I have dated a couple Asian men in the past and I was very satisfied sexually so everything you wrote is BS.

Most races discriminate against blacks but aspire to be white. You heard what they said blacks represent evil, whites the good guy. One even brought up slavery for his views on black people. Who enslaved who again? I guess the oppressor is victorious in this situation.

He, not “THEY”, said that it was a stereotype that was dispelled by the movie. Not that he or they all thought that way. It is not most races that discriminate against black; it is individuals of different races that discriminate against blacks. Just like there are black people whom are racist and discriminatory.

    1. They have the privilege of living in a country that was made for them & you could clearly see there privilege in there answers. 2. They know blacks were in slaved by White yet they don’t look at white people in a bad way 3. We really need to stop having Hiphop culture represent us on the World stage. 4. You could see how the roles were reverse when asked if there will ever be a Asian super hero then you cold see the pain & sadness in there eyes. 5. Black Panther is more then just a movie it’s the next step in to something better then we are right now.

1.We have a whole continent that no one seems to give a f*** about. Many Black Americans, like many other people, don’t know how to unify despite differences. You could hear from some of these viewers that unity is important. 2. Who is they? Do all Koreans and/or Asians share one brain? 3. Hip Hop is a minuscule fraction of the issue. Think bigger! 4. They have Jubilee in X-men and Olivia Munn. 5. Black Panther is a great movie that had a sense of unity to it. As did Star Wars: The Last Jedi. They both had a spiritual feel to them. But you and everyone in this country regardless of color or other differences, need to come together and push the human race forward! There is strength and prosperity in unity! We really need to stop judging people based on color tone and eye shapes! It’s primitive!

I can’t understand black people they want the world to respect them but they don’t have respect for any other people … I walk new York streets every day and black people will want to tell a person anything that comes to their mouth … That’s just bull s*** .. give respect to get respect

We’ve come along way. Do your research before you speak. The U.S was built on our ancestors’ backs. We were deprived of education while the world evolved. You have to understand that this community needs time to grow. It wasn’t that long ago when were dealing with segregation. We deserve respect for the growth that we’ve made so far.
