Whoopi Goldberg Tells Mo’Nique: “Your Husband Is The Problem”

Published: Friday 2nd Mar 2018 by David

The beloved entertainer Mo’Nique has thanked and praised her peer Whoopi Goldberg for inviting her to appear on her hit show ‘The View.’

Taking to the show to address the problems she is facing within Hollywood, Mo’Nique answered questions posed to her by its hosts and revealed her unwillingness to allow herself to be bullied has seen her become a persona non grata in circles she was once welcomed in.

What we didn’t see?

What happened when Whoopi pulled Mo’Nique into her dressing room to reveal that she was being misled and manipulated.

By who?

Her husband.

Watch below…

Whoopi is yet to respond.

Though some may try to turn this development into a negative one, we’re happy to hear that Mo’Nique is receiving love and advice from performers like Goldberg who have faced similar predicaments.

Alas, not everyone feels Whoopi is the best person to advise Mo’Nique.

Why?

IT WILL NEVER MAKE SENSE TO HAVE THE LEAD ROLE IN A MOVIE, SPEND ALL THAT TIME ON A MOVIE SETS, REHEARSALS ETC…AND B**** ABOUT PROMOTING IT, WHETHER IM BEING PAID OR NOT, I WANT EVERYONE TO SEE THE MOVIE,I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THE MOVIE IS COMING, I WANT EVERYONE TO SUPPORT IT….JUST LIKE IT WON’T EVER MAKE ANY SENSE TO SPEND 1+ YEAR WORKING ON AN ALBUM AND ONLY PROMOTING IT THE WEEK OF IT’S RELEASE….

Black people complain about everything they will never be satisfied we know there is inequality in society people call whoopie a koon but whoopie stays rich and have a job monique has a entitle mentality and that’s why no one will work with her in every area of society we have bosses paying you for what a job is worth so 5000000 dollars is better than nothing immigrants come start with nothing then build up to something and never complain this heifer is crazy that’s why blacks stays at the bottom and all other race growing and outpacing them in every other area of society stay complaining that’s what the white people love to see

        Spoken like a true dummie!!

I understand what you’re saying but she is not an immigrant she is a Oscar winner traditionally Oscar winners Caucasian Oscar winners receive top dollar minimum of 20 million for movie since Julia Roberts 12 million was the cap for Halle Berry. So while she may be difficult to work with one thing remains she’s funny and talented and does her job well should she and other black women not be paid top dollar

Its like Mo is in a cult called Daddy

Truth! She needs to divorce him or fire him as her manager. Business and pleasure don’t mix. He is truly the issue.

    • Jamie March 2, 2018

Everybody’s been saying that, and it’s so very true.

I agree. I can’t stand it when a man steadily acts like a b|tch, talks like a b|tch, and has b|tch ways. Monique’s husband is a fairy queen. I would rather be married to a man that makes more than me, is a provider, leads me, comforts me, consoles me, and checks me when I need to be checked rather than a man with too much b|tch in him.

Spoken like a true hoteptress. Lemme guess? You’re single right?

      • Jasmine March 2, 2018

@Rhea I do not know what a “hotepress” is but you are wrong. I have been married now for the past 5 years to my soul mate. Too many women these days are too proud to submit to their man but I enjoy it and love being with a man that loves me for me. In my house my husband is king and the main provider and I am his queen.

They r not peers. Whoopi is a legend to gp/mainstream. Monique is an urban legend

I could not watch the whole podcast because Monique is wrong here to be airing out Whoopi’s advice. I agree with Whoopi that Monique’s fairy queen husband has manipulated her and destroyed her career so much that the damage may be irreversible. They are so worried about being “right” instead of making an impact in black female comedy going more mainstream and feeding their family. I suspect Monique knows she is not that funny, her stand up audience is small, and her trophy husband would leave her if she demoted Jim to just babysitter so she is stuck on these unsuccessful attempts at relevancy disguised as “I’m being blackballed” and “I’m here for equal pay in hollywood.” No Monique you are about yourself and most people read through your BS and obsession with feeling you are “right.”

  5. Liam March 2, 2018

But industry insiders have been saying the same thing bout her husband since he manage her the career has spiral downwards ??‍♂️

So, she didn’t go to France 8-9 years ago to promote Precious. Since she’s still complaining about the ramifications now, those few days at home weren’t worth it.

    And Whoopi was right.

    Speak Mo!

  8. stan March 2, 2018

all this effort into going around and complaining everywhere… could’ve been put into actually working on a project, releasing it, and getting $.

    choices.

    • Caleb March 2, 2018

      Unless she’s being blackballed.

      • eric March 2, 2018

Or maybe her choices are the cause of her being blackballed and she refuses to take accountability for it.

  9. The Wig Snatcher March 2, 2018

Whoopi is right. Delusional Black women will disagree and deserve to be ignored by the rest of us like that b**** h* on that Twitter message above.

  10. Sonja March 3, 2018

I just wanted to know, he says that he has all this credentials so why when l Wikipedia him only name comes up? He claims that he produces/ writes but the that he’s claiming his name is not in the credits.?

    • Sonja March 3, 2018

I mean her name only comes up.

  11. Stephanie Hatten March 3, 2018

Monique and Whoopi are two …….(Power House Women) whom I respect beyond words. I know that when you say things that upset people, you can place yourself on a brick of ice (Being Blackballed); but sometimes you have to go there. I am displeased to hear the names of Oprah, Tyler, and a few others in this particular light; but I truly hear what the message is crying out to say. If I have given all that I am to the fans, then I would desire to be paid as if I did have blonde hair and blue eyes. I would not want to be sitting on my b*** when the ice melts to the ground; but reaching to take the out stretched hand that is helping me up when I tell the truth.

  12. DJ March 4, 2018

Yes Monique stands for something when it’s affecting her, other than that when do you ever hear from Monique. I didn’t know promoting a film was playing the game and just doing whatever you’re told. It’s your film, shouldn’t you want more eyes on it, I don’t care if she wasn’t going paid. you should want more ppl to view your work. I do like Monique and understand mostly what’s she saying, but I question alot of her motives behind this and I feel like she’s not taking accountability for some of these thing.

  13. StarXavi March 5, 2018

Ok Monique….we get it. But if you are happy with the choices that you made as far as choosing not to campaign then deal with the consequences.
