DeRay, one of the activists at the forefront of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, has condemned the horrific assault of an African-American woman in a Waffle House store.
The predators? Police officers.
Disturbing footage below…
This should garner as much attention as the Starbucks arrest, but it doesn’t seem like there were any white bystanders there to defend them and most folks seem to believe Black women can talk themselves into justifiable abuse. https://t.co/SEXBgQAQPm

The 25-year-old woman entered a Waffle House and after placing an order asked if she could use the utensils close to her. To her surprise, she was told that she would have to pay to use them despite the fact that she’d been given permission to use them for free the day before.
Annoyed by her request the customer assistant serving her cancelled her order prompting her to ask for their corporate number so that she could make a formal complaint.
The police were called shortly after.
This is clear proof of racism. This woman was arguing about a plastic spoon and was manhandled, beat and arrested–while a white boy goes in waffle house fully armed and noone calls the police until after he commit mass murder. https://t.co/EXWMDMN5jb

They were going to allow that sista to walk out of that waffle house with her breasts exposed. Salute to the brotha that tried to help cover her up.

Shameful way to treat a woman. Pulled her top of her dress down and exposed her breast. Going to cost the city a boat load of money I hope.

Sickening. It’s like those guys are acting out their rape fantasies. They should be put through extremely thorough psychological testing: the harm their sick psyches are allowed to do to this lady & her friend’s psyches is unbelievable.

TW:// misogynoir & police brutality
This disgusted the hell out of me…
I swear it felt like they purposely did this to embarrass her by stripping her naked. They were ready to do this to her. So disgusting. This reminds me of how slaveowners abused enslaved African women. https://t.co/pqbWQiJFO4

Mobile NAACP President David Smith had this to say about the terrible incident…
In light of the current situation in our country — such as the arrest of two young black men at a Philadelphia Starbucks coffee shop — we felt it was important for our members to get a first-hand account of the incident, which has now gone viral on social media locally and across the country.
A spokesperson for the police department the arresting officers report to shared…
The Saraland Police Department is aware of the arrest at Waffle House and the accompanying video on social media. The situation is being thoroughly reviewed and is under active investigation right now. Our department strives for transparency and we encourage our community to be aware of current events.
