The CW’s revival of the hit series ‘Charmed’ has welcomed an Afro-Latina actress to its cast.

Madeline Mantock is to portray one of the ‘Charmed’ sisters in its revival following her runs in ‘ The Tomorrow People‘, ‘Casualty’ and ‘Into the Badlands’ and will soar into action alongside Sarah Jeffrey and Melonie Diaz who are to play her sisters.
Joining them? Ser’Darius Blain.
A premiere date is yet to be announced.
WHY are all of these shows of yesteryear being rebooted, as oppposed to new material simply being created?? The show will only last two seasons before being CANCELED! This isn’t going to work. And how about casting an African American/Latina actress who isn’t as racially ambiguous?! You don’t get credit for diversity when the individuals can still PASS for being outside of the race the producers are ultimately “trying to include”. BOGUS!

Exactly, if they would have at least chosen to make a sequel, some generations after the sisters or something like that. Stories of their grandchildren for example. But this whole reboot s*** gets on my nerves. Damn, get some new original ideas instead of rebooting every goddamn show. Charmed was good as it was and should stay that way.
Looking forward to this. Charmed wasn’t a very good show except for the actors/characters being likable. The continuity was all over the place, the writing weak and banal storylines. But the premise was strong and the show worked best when it explored the witchs’ family history. I just can’t see this reboot being a worse show than the original, but with the right people working on it, it can be a good show. And really appreciate the inclusive casting.
