Retro Rewind time!

Last week saw us celebrate Jennifer Lopez‘ movie ‘The Cell’ and this week, steering a little more mainstream, we honour ‘The Steve Harvey Show’!

Meet us below…

The series kicked off on August 25th 1996 and was built as a vehicle to strengthen Harvey’s hold on comedy and Pop culture via The Warner Brothers Television Network.

With 2 million viewers amassed per episode, the show was delivered to British fans via the ‘Trouble’ channel…also home to ‘Girlfriends’, ‘My Wife & Kids’, ‘Eve’, ‘USA High’ and ‘Saved by the Bell‘!

The show came to an end on February 17th 2002.

I used to love this show. Between this, Martin, and Living Single, 90s black TV was lit. Some of my favorite episodes were when Grandma Puddin’ (off duty from her job as the cafeteria lady) would show up.

This was a really great show with good acting, good characters, good storylines, lots of laughs. Mr. Box Office tried to copy it, but they didn’t even come close.
