‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ Reunion Hit By Ratings Dip Without Joseline Hernandez

Despite efforts to boost the show’s ratings by welcoming Erica Mena and the Dancehall icon Spice to its mix, ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta‘ finds itself slipping and sliding on a ratings front without the support of its breakout star Joseline Hernandez.

The star’s feud with producer Mona Scott-Young saw her part ways with the show after its last season and watch it struggle fare well without her.

Why now may be a good time for VH1 to put an end to its war with the Puerto Rican princess?

Find out below…

When the show’s latest season premiered on March 19th 2018, it did so with one million less viewers than the 3.21 million it scored in its seventh season.

What happened when part one of this year’s reunion special aired on Monday night. More of the same?

For, after seven season’s special pulled in 2,710,000 million eyes on July 10th 2017, Monday’s episode pulled in 2.13 million even with the support of its latest line-up of stars.

Quite interestingly, Joseline’s departure from ‘Atlanta’ did more to harm the show’s ratings than NeNe Leakes‘ departure from ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ did when she stepped away from that series after its eighth season.

For, while Hernandez’ seemingly calcified absence has spelled trouble for ‘Atlanta’s ratings, NeNe’s decision to leave did very little to dent ‘Real’s numbers.

Why do you think this is?

Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta ratings are low due to Kirk, Rasheeda, and many others with the same boring storylines every season. This franchise is a ghetto soap opera and the ratings is going to continue to drop even with Joseline. RHOA will suffer the same way mark my words. Most reality shows need a complete recast after the third season to be fresh if not then you will have downward ratings like love hip hop and housewives. Producers don’t understand this as they are reason the ship continue to sink. Recast 100%

    This is funny!

LHHATL ratings are still higher than all the other franchises even with Joseline’s departure so I’m sure no one is losing any sleep or asking for any one to come back!

Erica is irrelevant! Why is she there? She needs a Bye Felecia moment. Every time you addressed Brittany or anyone else she was always quick to jump end wouldn’t let anyone tell their story. Yet you made Brittany leave and it should have been her.

I think the story lines are just a mess it’s the same mess. Erica Mena should of never came to the show, Mimi don’t have a story line, Karlie Red same mess should be off the show and all these new ppl that nobody knows. I’m done with this show.

The RHOA season without Nene was explosive. All kinds of personal tea was spilt, and we got to see Phaedra’s witchery in full effect until it exploded in her face at the reunion. That may be a reason there wasn’t a ratings dip.

You need to get rid of the old timers, mainly the woman. The old timers are boring….get new blood and story lines.
