‘Power’ Season 5 Premiere Tops Sunday Night Cable Ratings

If the numbers are anything to go by it appears fans of STARZ’ flagship series, ‘Power,’ couldn’t wait to get their eyes and ears on the latest happenings of Ghost, Tommy, Tasha, and the gang.

Kicking off its long-awaited season 5 on Sunday (July 1), the show – though greeted by an audience smaller than its season 4 launch – still managed to top the night’s cable ratings among scripted series.

Season 5 of “Power” premiered to a smaller audience than Season 4, but it was still the top original show on cable in adults 18-49 Sunday.

The Starz series earned a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.55 million viewers, vs. 0.8 and 1.68 million for the fourth-season premiere.

    Wow i’m kinda surprised at the ratings, especially given how AWESOME the premiere was! In any case, the episode was amazing, super excited for the rest of the season!
