Black Panther’s domestic earnings is to spin towards the $700 million earned point by the end of the day…in the United States alone.

‘Panther’ is still clawing its way to glory globally and, thanks to support from support from an African-American led fan base, is to reach the $700 million generated mark by midnight tonight.

In the U.S., 37% of the movie’s overall audience was African-American, which is well above the norm as the average movie audience is about 15% African-American, according to box office tracking company ComScore and Screen Engine. White moviegoers made up just 35% of Black Panther‘s audience over its opening weekend.

‘Deadline’ adds…

With an additional $646.7M internationally, Black Panther’s global cume has risen to $1.346B to date, ranking as the second-biggest film so far this year, trailing only Avengers: Infinity War.

Its sequel is yet to bag a due date and is likely to benefit from Disney & Marvel’s plans to team forces with Fox to reunite a number of Marvel characters via a gargantuan movie deal.

Love it! I have been clocking it’s climb to 700M for the past 2months. I thought it would be next week or the week after, but happy to learn this week. Although BP won’t topple Infinity’s Worldwide figures, it appears that it will best Infinity’s in terms of North American figures. Infinity War currently stands 678M, while doing a million+ weekly. It would need to sell 22 million more..and that seems impossible at this point.
