All you need to know about his new Netflix deal below!

Stanfield has found a friend in LeSean Thomas (The Boondocks) and together they have built a brand new Flying Lotus-backed anime series for the streaming platform Netflix.

Its premise?

In a war-torn feudal Japan of mechs and magic, a retired ronin must take up his sword when he is charged with the task of transporting a mysterious child who dark forces want to eliminate.

Lakeith will portray a character based on a real African samurai who fought alongside the 16th century warrior Oda Nobunga.

His name was Yasuke.
