Michael B.  Jordan‘s ‘Creed II‘ is smashing it at the box office!

Awesome news after the jump…

The picture is second movie in the ‘Creed’ story and the latest branch to grow out of the ‘Rocky’ tree and is now storming the box office in spectacular fashion!

Our friends over at ‘Shadow & Act’ report…

Not taking inflation into account, the film bested several records, including:

— The best live-action debut for a Thanksgiving weekend film release
— Best film debut in the Rocky franchise
— Biggest sports film debut
— Biggest boxing film debut

It has generated $55 million since its unveiling and opened with $35 million.

All of this has given Michael and his reps much to celebrate as Creed’s glory follows the mammoth success he is still enjoying as one of the stars of Marvel’s ‘Black Panther.’
