Viola Davis has another box office smash on her hands!
Fantastic news for the ‘Widows‘ star below…
The Steve McQueen release sees Viola lead a cast employed to reboot the British series of the same name and now, thanks to endorsing word-of-mouth reviews, has earned $38 million globally.
$25 million was earned domestically while the remaining $13 million was earned from movie theatres overseas much to the delight of 20th Century Fox who are now just a few days from recouping the movie’s $42 million product budget.

Great movie. $48 million is a little too much. The guy that played “get out” is one great actor. He will get you scared straight in this movie.
love me some Viola Davis but $38 Million globally isnt a box office smash, They spent $42 Million to make the movie so at this point its still considered a FLOP they havent made any profit they’ve only made back the money they spent. But I’m sure this doesnt include the millions it takes to promote a film. I still want to see this, but please TGJ y’all reaching with this one.
