Octavia Spencer has joined Kenya Barris and Anne Hathaway in the forthcoming ‘Witches’ remake.

The original movie was based on the Roahl Dahl book of the same name and starred Anjelica Huston whose role will be filled by Hathaway in the remake as ‘Black-ish’ writer Kenya Barris co-writes its script.
Octavia’s role? The grandmother of a child who finds himself in danger when he walks into a witches’ convention being held at a seemingly high-end hotel.
A REAL WITCH always wears a wig to hide her baldness. She wears a first-class wig. And it is almost impossible to tell a really first-class wig from ordinary hair unless you give it a pull to see if it comes off.

Topping the genuine down-to-earth feeling and authentic warmth of the original film, not to mention EVERYTHING that Ms. Anjelica Huston brought to it will be hard to be topped.
NOTE TO HOLLYWOOD: Not everything has to be a remake or a sequel. There is room for original creativity…. that’s if there is an ounce of creativity left in the so-called movie capital of the world.

I’m intrigued on the remand but nothing can top Anjelica Huston original. That movie scared the s^it out of me as a little kid
I hear you. For a children’s movie that had what seemed to be a considerably smaller budget than other movies in that genre at that time, it had maximum effect!!!!
