Will Smith‘s departure from ‘Suicide Squad’ has made way for Idris Elba to step into his role.

Elba will portray Deadshot after scheduling conflicts forced Smith to step away from the role much to the surprise of their respective fan bases.
It’s currently unknown who will be joining Elba in the sequel, though many believe Margot Robbie will return as Harley Quinn. James Gun was tapped to write and direct the film. The release date is currently set for Aug. 6, 2021.
Smith is hard at work on a number of new pictures and is yet to reveal whether or not he will reprise his role in future ‘Squad’ releases.
