One day, the comedian minding his own business on stage when a member of his audience (Christian Englander) threw a banana at him. Upsetting, as many had reason to believe the act was racially motivated.
Christian claims that Chapelle’s bodyguard punched him in the face as he was being restrained by security and launched a legal fight he hoped to win. Unfortunately for him, his hopes have been shattered.
A New Mexico judge has ordered all claims against Chappelle be dismissed in the case brought against him by Englander.
The man failed to locate Chappelle and serve him with the legal docs since he filed in March 2018 and, as a result, the entire case was dismissed.
He insists that his decision to attack Dave with a banana was not racially motivated and sued seeking unspecified damages as he believed the law would sympathise with his case.
