Will Smith has much to celebrate this weekend.
Good news for the cast of ‘Aladdin‘ below…
The live action remake of the Disney classic was expected to earn $80 million domestically in its opening weekend but is now on course to ringing the $100 million bell thanks to the wave of positive word-of-mouth reviews it has received since its unveiling.
If forecasts hold, “Aladdin” would be the eighth movie to top the $100 million mark in North America over the Memorial Day holiday. The top total came in 2007, when “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” took in $139 million in its first four days.

The Guy Ritchie-produced picture faced a series of reshoots and controversies before its unveiling and sees Smith portray Genie…a character once fronted by the late Robin Williams.

I think it’s one of the best live action movie they have made so far.
