The pic has received a mixed response from critics, with a 60 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The much-beloved 1992 animated feature Aladdin grossed a massive $502 million at the global box office and would go on to win two Oscars.

The movie was going to make money with or without Will Smith. All most all of Disney movie makes profit. I love him as a actor, but I don’t really see character change in his movie roles. I’m waiting to see What Mr. Smith next movie does without a Disney title. The preview for his next movie don’t look good. Him playing The genie is a good look for a black man tho…
LOVE ME SOME WILL. My favorite actor. Saw it last night. Honestly this is a flop by Disney’s standards and compared to what they projected it would do which was the $120mil ball park. But I live anything Will does. The movie left much to be desired tho. Too much CGI, singing wasn’t all that, and a bit rushed. BUT Naomi Scott as Jasmine made the movie. Her song ‘Speechless’ had me in tears.
