As has become commonplace, the BET Awards – Urban music’s biggest night – has been crowned a ratings winner!
Thanks to show-stopping performances from the likes of Cardi B, Lizzo, Mary J. Blige, H.E.R., and more, this year’s edition may be scribbled in history books as the ceremony’s lowest rated telecast ever but it still managed to continue the trend of seeing the network ahead of the Sunday night cable competition.

The BET Awards took the top spot in the Sunday cable ratings this past weekend with a 1.0 rating in adults 18-49 and 2.43 million viewers, down from the 1.2 and 2.87 million viewers that it scored last year.

Although it was dope to FINALLY ?see Fantasia get a little limelight???, I would’ve much preferred Jennifer there as well. However, Jennifer is BUSY with MOVIES, CONTRACTS, and other demands of a credible superstar ?
