Movie Trailer: ‘LUCE’ [Starring Octavia Spencer]

Published: Tuesday 4th Jun 2019 by Sam

Octavia Spencer continues her cinematic omnipresence – this time in new movie ‘LUCE.’

Brought to the screen by Neon, the film is billed as a “smart psychological thriller that will leave audiences breathless.”

So what’s it about?

The story centers on Luce – a well achieving  high school athlete and award-winning debater. In many ways, he’s the apple of his adoptive parents eyes.

However, normality is turned on its head when his teacher (played by Spencer) discovers something shocking belonging to him. It sets off a chain of events that promises to leave jaws on the floor.

Head below to watch the first trailer for the Julius Onah directed movie ahead of its August 2nd release. Naomi Watts and Tim Roth also star.

Looks like a must-see. Will you be watching?

I am so here for everything she does. Loved her since she was the social worker on Ugly Betty.

The plot sounds like the teacher found his s** tape and is blackmailing him for the D.

The premise seemed more interesting than the actual trailer, but I will still probably check it out.

I love psychological thrillers like that.

This was one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. Absolutely not worth the time. Ridiculous ending.

Actually it was brilliant. Want a “stupid movie” check out “The Assistant” (or don’t)🤌🏽

I’m a little confused and maybe someone can help; Luce had to take the fireworks from his moms 2nd hiding place right? And then I’m guessing that he indeed set off the school fire considering his self proclaimed ability to “act surprised”

    Am I right about this?
