The movie was built on the wings of a $5 million budget and has, thanks to positive word-of-mouth reviews, has pocketed $18 million in the days following its dramatic release!
It numbers weren’t enough to see it grab the #1 spot (that position is held by the latest ‘Godzilla’ outing) but it did see it soar into the Top 4…surpassed only by ‘Aladdin’, Elton John‘s ‘Rocket Man’ and the aforementioned ‘Zilla.

The psychological thriller is housed by Blumhouse Productions (also home to ‘Get Out’) and was directed by Tate Taylor who Octavia worked with on the movie ‘The Help.’

The movie was PHENOMENAL!!!! Definitely a must-see — but please don’t bring the young kids, it’s definitely some intense “adult” scenes in this movie lol.
Seeing such a revered actress play a dark role was MESMERIZING. She was outstanding, and that one particular n*** and twisted scene that will have everyone talking for years … all I can say to Octavia is OMG — YOU DID THAT, BOO!!!!
Octavia was great, but the movie itself was a huge disappointment.
